Process

The process is divided into the following stages:

  • Stage I: The process of the group therapy and individual sessions leads to the exploration of the real and ideal self of the individual.
  • Stage II: The process of photo-shoot along with therapeutic intervention leads to the individual feeling closer to their real self; resulting in one photograph that depicts their true self.
  • Stage III: The end photograph works as a reminder, and a maintaining factor for the individual to continue to work towards self-actualization
As opposed to an image being just a moment in time, these images are a reflection of each person's identity, as it exists in the real world right now and how they see their ideal self.

About

Psychologist Harsheen K. Arora and Artist Vipul Amar call this project Stupid Eye because they want themselves and everyone else involved - to see each other without the knowledge and information of wrong/right, real/unreal, important/unimportant as taught to us by society in an effort to educate us and hone our intelligence.
